How EMDR Works: Science Meets Healing

EMDR is a structured, evidence-based approach developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro. 

It uses bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or gentle tapping) to help your brain reprocess distressing memories — allowing them to be stored in a way that no longer triggers intense emotional or physical reactions. 

This does not erase memories but it helps the nervous system realise: The danger is over. I am safe now.
