Anxiety can appear in many different ways.
Sometimes it shows up as persistent worry about work, family, or responsibilities. At other times it is felt more in the body, through restlessness, tightness in the chest, difficulty sleeping, or a sense that it is hard to fully relax.
For many people, anxiety does not always look dramatic from the outside. Life may appear to be going well, yet internally there may be a growing sense of tension that becomes harder to hold, especially during periods of increased pressure.
Many people experiencing anxiety already understand what is happening logically.
They may recognise that certain worries are excessive or that their reactions seem stronger than the situation requires. They may even tell themselves to calm down or stop overthinking.
Yet in the moment, thoughts, emotions and physical responses can still unfold quickly and feel difficult to influence.
